It is with great sadness that I announce that dear Frank Freeman, NYB's first and much loved Patron has died. Frank will be missed enormously by us all, and we send our sincere condolences to his family and wide circle of friends and the ballet world.
Frank has contributed so much to the National Youth Ballet in so many ways; through the ballets he created for us – Four Seasons, The Trout, and a grande defilé. his passionate support for the annual NYB Choreographic Competition, his teaching and his invaluable encouragement to our company since our foundation.
Frank will always be remembered by us all and we intend to include a warm tribute to Frank in our 2011 programme.
We have very fond memories and will never forget this talented and wonderful friend.
