Jill Tookey and Jack had been in constant touch since their happy collaboration together with Wayne Sleep on NYB’s ballet ‘TOAD’ based on Wind in the Willows (premiered in 2000) and sponsored by HSBC. Jack and Jill had been planning a further ballet together and phone calls and faxes had been flying to and from Melbourne right up to the end of his life. NYB is proud to have worked with Jack and thrilled that he was able to conduct excerpts from TOAD at the HSBC’s Centre Stage performance at The Royal Albert Hall.
