NYB were once again delighted to be invited to dance at Save the Childrens
Summer in the City event in the presence of H.R.H. The Princess Royal. This
prestigious dinner was held in the beautiful Tudor dining hall at Lincolns
Inn. Joanna Lumley, Patron of NYB, introduced the company in her own inimitable
style, who danced an Elizabethan Masque, choreographed by Anna Meadmore,
in honour of The Queens Golden Jubilee.
The Princess Royal congratulated the dancers of the National Youth Ballet
on their professional performance and thanked Jill Tookey for the Companys
continued support of the event. The evening, sponsored by Hammersons, raised
over £90,000 for Save the Children charity. |
